Since the COVID-19 pandemic has begun, several Bollywood celebrities have jetted off on vacations to some beautiful locations. Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan are amongst a few who vacationed in the Maldives and Goa during the ongoing pandemic. It was recently that Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor headed for a vacation to the Maldives. Now, Shobhaa De has reacted. She shared a post made by Publicists Rohini Iyer and reminded them about the current situation. Iyer asked celebrities to not be an ‘insensitive idiot’ and post pictures of one’s privileged life.
On Instagram, Shobhaa De reposted a post made by Rohini Iyer. In the post, Iyer spoke about celebrities vacationing in the Maldives and Goa. Sharing the post, De wrote, “Hello!!! Listen up! Loved this post passionately articulated by Rohini Iyer.” She shared the post and mentioned that she wanted to get her message across. Shobhaa De continued, “It is the height of vulgarity to flaunt those ridiculous pictures. Enjoy the Maldives by all means. You are blessed if you can get such a break in these bleak times.” She concluded her message by asking celebrities on vacation to keep their pictures ‘private’.
The message by Rohini Iyer read, “For all of you vacationing in Maldives and Goa and exotic locales, remember, it’s a holiday for you. It’s a bloody pandemic all over. So don’t be an insensitive idiot and post pictures of your privileged life. You’re not only coming across as brainless but also completely blind and deaf. This is not the time to boost your Instagram numbers. This is the time to step up and help or if you can’t do anything, then shut up and stay home! Or stay quiet in your holiday home.. Masked up. Shraddha Kapoor also made a trip to the island country over two times amidst the pandemic. It was recently that Sara Ali Khan posted pictures from her holiday with her mom Amrita Singh and brother Ibrahim Ali Khan in Kashmir. The actress is currently vacationing in Goa. She had shared a video of the beach and waves on Monday.
